Wealth for the Common Good

About Us

Wealth for the Common Good is a network of business leaders, high-income households and partners working together to promote shared prosperity and fair taxation. Our membership includes entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, school teachers, engineers and elected officials of all backgrounds, political stripes and from all over the country.

Over the last 30 years, economic policies in America have slowly but surely shifted to disproportionately benefit the nation’s top earners. Wealth for the Common Good, which represents many of these individuals, was organized to help rebalance our economic system. Our goal is to contribute to the public debate on taxes and support President Obama and Congress in creating a more progressive tax code.

With our partners, we began organizing our network in 2008, at the peak of the economic crisis. We publicly launched our first campaign, to reverse the Bush-era tax cuts on households with incomes over $235,000, in the summer of 2009.
